Here you will find information on some remote and some not so remote places including lakes, rivers and streams that you can go fishing.
Before you go though, check the Trout Stocking Schedule and for the current fishing conditions try the Weekly Recreational Report
I try add the most current information I can find about fishing to this page. I've added some additional links to other places in Oregon about fishing, etc., but I'll try to keep it local, as much as I can.
I travel during the summer months and take alot of pictures. I have taken all the pictures you see on this website myself. if you have any comments or suggestion you'd like to share, email me, an I will try to get back to you as soon as I can ok?
Without a doubt, one of the most popular places to go fishing in Douglas County is Diamond Lake.
Nestled among tall timber high in the mountians of eastern Douglas County, you can find this gem of a lake well known for it's giant rainbow trout!
Diamond Lake is now closed for fishing for the season, it will open up again April 28th weather permitting. When the Lake reopens next year the daily catch limit for Trout will be 8 trout per day, with an 8 inch Minimum length. 2 daily limits in possession
With horseback riding, swimming, hiking, mountian bike riding, birdwatching and so many other fun summer activities to do you may have to eat on the fun!
Surrounding the lake are campgrounds, an picnic areas sure to make a relaxing afternoon even better.
AND THAT'S NOT ALL!!!
With a lodge, cabin rentals, boat rentals an a resterant, the whole family can enjoy ths summer retreat year after year!
But what about in the Winter you ask?
With an average yearly snowfall of 5' to 8' at 5800 elevation snowmobiling, cross country skiing, tubing, and other winter sports become the norm of this pristine year round getaway resort desintation.
